Aromatherapy Hydro BS
Aromatherapy is a scientific method of herb utilization. In our times the need of detoxification and healthy
living has brought forth the increasing demand in natural products. Essential oils are, as declared by the
name, oily, liquid and volatile (rapidly evaporating). The come from different plant parts (such as blossoms,
leaves, fruit, shoots, stems, roots, etc). As a matter of fact it is possible of extracting essential oils of different
composition from the same plant. The oils are taken from the plant’s pores and glands by special means of
extraction and distillation.
WAY OF USE
Essential oils can be used during a bath in a simple or a hydro-massage bathtub. They are available in a
great variety and in small bottle packages which have been scientifically tested and proved so as to ensure
purity and fine quality. Fill your bathtub with water, add 4-5 drops of essential oils-a few drops are enough
to initiate their beneficial action– and submerge for approximately 15 minutes. Add the oils immediately after
you open the water tap. In this way more of their beneficial properties are released and inhaling their vapors
becomes especially pleasant. As an effect of water heat, skin pores dilate, thus helping the oils’ active
elements to penetrate deeper into the skin. A wonderful aroma is released that gives a pleasant mood during
the bath, and in the meanwhile the herbs’ and plants’ aromatic extracts penetrate through the skin layers,
thus providing the bather with physical and mental well-being. However , we must take into consideration
that the essential oils’ therapeutic action is invalidated if used with soaps or shampoos which are chemically
composed. Furthermore, we must know that in order to achieve effective results through aromatherapy using
essential oils, water temperature should be approximately 37oC.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AROMATHERAPY?
Depending on the extract of the herbs or plants, essential oils have a great range of action with spectacular
and immediate results. They can be used as cosmetics, antiseptics, antimicrobials, tonics, astringents etc.
